Today I’m sharing some hardware and fixture inspiration that came to me after a visit to the Interior Design Show West this past weekend. There were so many great brands and some new ones I hadn’t heard of before. Brass is no longer that 1980s brass we all imagine when we think of brass, black is now sexy and appreciated instead of dated and copper is the new gold. Seriously copper warms up a white kitchen and adds so much character. Below are some very current designs, all of them include a modern industrial vibe which is my personal favorite style.
I’m in love with Watermark Designs, a Brooklyn based fixture design company, their collections are amazing and can be characterized best by impeccable style, clean aesthetics, industrial tones and elegant finishes. The first image below is one of their latest designs called Brooklyn31 and below that is Elan Vital38. I also really love the Zen Collection with the mix of stone and super shiny metallic, it’s like a fancy piece of jewellery in the bathroom, definitely worth the splurge on the fixture if you pair it with a more affordable white Ikea cabinet so you don’t totally break the bank.

Now I want to talk about hardware, seriously it can turn a really boring piece of furniture into a beautiful focal point of your room if you choose wisely. The same goes for the handle of your door, think about how many times in your life you touch the handles in your house…too many, right? Well why not make them something you’d love to look at and touch on a regular basis.
