I’m not even sure how this weird collection started, but it happened to coincide with the beginning of my relationship with Andrew. We kept putting bread tags into a jar and almost 7 years later the jar is pretty much full. I love the colours and I also love that the larger white ones have a heart shape in the middle.

Here’s a few weird and wonderful collections that caught my eye. I notice a lot of collections are vintage and it makes me wonder what items people will be collecting from our era 100 or even 200 years from now.

The rolling pins would make me too nervous to comfortably eat or chat…although, I’m sure they’re perfectly secure.
Personally, I’m not much of a collector. The closest thing would probably be books. I do have a strange affinity for lamps and chairs but I don’t really indulge.
There’s a clothing store in London that has an entire wall clad with vintage sewing machines. Looks amazing.

More more more! I LOVED this post! I collect a number of things: washboards and irons, sheep/cow bells, silver tea pots, silver trays, sea glass, rocks, cookie cutters, musical instruments, strange/unusual baking pans, cast iron molds and saris (although I have more scarves than full saris). Someone once asked me why I owned 175+ saris… I replied “because I don’t drink or do drugs.” ?

One of something is just something. Two is two somethings. But THREE becomes a collection. I tend to save things in (preferably) interesting jars which I put on my bookshelves between the books. Shells, rocks, dice, rusty stuff, dominos, curtain rings, broken pottery pieces. I find them quite beautiful and the jars often come with the memories of where I found them.
