I’ve had linen sheets on my mind for years. They were always a luxury item I was saving up for but never got around to purchasing because for some reason the bedroom is the last place in our loft that I update. I know this is a common problem for most people and I think we need to start caring more about where we sleep and making our bedroom space a priority. I was always just buying the cheapest cotton sheets I could find in neutral colours because that’s all my budget would allow for, but I was looking for a fabric upgrade that wouldn’t break the bank so I’m here to share a few sources in various price ranges and quality levels for linen sheets that are available in Canada. (this post is not sponsored)
Keep in mind I have only touched a few of these brands in real life, but haven’t used any of them except for the one I purchased. I am only speaking from the fact that these brands are available in Canada and I wanted to provide you with some shopping sources. These brands also range from very small online shops all the way up to a big box store, so please use your own discretion when shopping.
Sources for Linen Sheets in Canada
I recently discovered Flax Sleep, a Canadian brand that is absolutely stunning. They’re so soft and even softer once they’re washed more and more. I was lucky enough to find them in person and touch the fabrics! The colours are beautiful and I love that they are a small business in Canada founded by women. I will be honest, they are just outside of my budget, but I want to share this small shop that I would feel so proud supporting someday, so if you can afford it, please support them! Just look at this photo below, don’t you want to dive right in and take a nap?

For a more formal, traditional style, there’s Rothman & Co. they have an online shop and there’s also a shop here in Vancouver, BC. Their prices are high, but the quality is top level. Check out their linen duvet cover options here.
Another small brand is Last Light, their linens are inspired by the West Coast and everything is made in Europe. I’m so in love with the driftwood grey they offer, it’s the perfect soft grey for any space and the linens look so luxe. They currently offer a free swatch of fabric that can be sent to you if you’re nervous about your big purchase, so I got samples of all 3 colours and wow they are stunning. The fabric samples are true to what they look like online. They feel a bit rough, but I’m pretty sure when washed a few times, they’ll soften up.
Here’s a photo of my swatches:
I also found an online brand called Brooklinen, they are from the US, but they ship to Canada. They offer a variety of sheet styles, but also have linen sheets. Read a bit about their process over here. I’ve shown a set of their linen sheets in the photo below, so dreamy!

Lastly, I discovered that H&M has a Canadian site and actually shipped for free at the time I was purchasing (free shipping was a big selling feature for me). I ended up buying this light gray washed linen duvet set. The downside is, the thread count is only 104 and it only includes the duvet cover and 2 pillow covers, I wish it came with a fitted sheet or flat sheet for the price and quality. I loved the light gray colour so much and the price was right for me because I’m frugal, so I got them. I’ve already washed them once and they got even softer and didn’t shrink. The linen is fairly thin but I compared them to some other brands and so far what I’ve seen, they’re all fairly thin unless you go super high-end which would run you about $1,300 for a set. The main concern is where the linen is made and how it is made.
I’ll be honest I feel pretty guilty about buying from big box stores, knowing where and how it was made, not ideal, but it fits with my budget. I wanted to share this source just in case you were looking for something affordable and decent quality until you’re ready to make the long-lasting purchase of quality linen sheets from one of the shops shown above.
Here’s some photos of the light gray linen sheets I purchased from H&M.
I know what you’re thinking, they don’t really look gray, but they are. I really didn’t want to go for crisp white, I hate how white goes kind of yellow over time even if you use bleach and bleach tends to degrade the fabric and make it rip easier, so this soft gray was the perfect choice for me.
Below are some real-life photos of the sheets in our apartment for comparison. (again this post is not sponsored).
The photo below is the darker grey, I thought about getting these, but I really wanted our bedroom to feel fresh, breezy and light, although this grey would look so cozy in the winter.
Here’s a few other linen sources that I haven’t fully researched, but could be useful for you to compare quality and price.

I can’t believe I’m the first one to reply. It’s so hard finding good reviews on linen on stores that ship to Canada for a reasonable cost.
Wire cutter, Reddit etc. We’re all useless.
Thank you, I appreciate the effort.
Thanks for reading, glad I could help!
