I finally got my hands on a copy of Diane Keaton’s new book, The House That Pinterest Built. Our loft apartment library ladder is featured in the “Book” section as inspiration for her library and various areas of her home. I was beyond excited when I found out they wanted to feature our library. It’s safe to say my life is complete now, as I’m a huge Diane Keaton fan.
The book is stunning. It’s oversize, definatley a coffee table book. As a graphic designer I am in love with the design, under the dust jacket there’s a beautiful fabric cover with a matte black emboss for the title. It’s so dreamy. Every page has a well thought out layout design with so much inspiring photography. So many of my favorite things are all in one book, modern industrial design, graphic design, typography, Pinterest and interiors.
If you’re curious here’s the original blog post as part of a feature on Design Sponge a few years ago, it’s funny to look at because our style has changed so much since then, way more modern and minimalist, less colour and less clutter.
Here’s some photos of our featured page in The House That Pinterest Built book, I highly recommend getting your hands on a copy, it’s beautifully designed with amazing typography, photography and interior inspiration. This book will be on my coffee table forever.
Our library ladder is featured right in the middle, I almost died when I saw it there. (see below)
I no longer have the chair under the ladder, we’re planning to get it reupholstered soon. I also no longer have that pillow or that rug that’s sticking out a bit on the bottom corner. I love seeing how our design style has evolved in 3 years.
That is so cool and we’ll deserved. Congrats!
Aw thanks so much Heidi!
