I recently got this beautiful white oak chair called the Denman in Canyon Tan leather. The frame is solid oak and has a quality lattice-webbed base just like a vintage chair we own, so I know it’ll last for years. The leather is so buttery soft and the cushions are firm yet soft, super cosy for this little nook in our home.
Previously in this corner, I had a vintage wood file cabinet as a side table (see below), but I’ve switched that out for something lighter.
The new side table is the Silicus. I opted for the style with brushed brass and a clear glass top. The clear glass matches our coffee table and I like how airy it looks in this corner, it also makes it easier to keep this corner clean since I can get underneath it with a mop and vacuum. The fun thing about this collection is all the shapes it comes in (an oblong pill shape that I’ve seen cropping up a lot in mirrors lately) and milky coloured glass (pink!). The glass on the tabletop is so thick and the edges are soft, it’s very quality.
Here’s some detailed views of the Denman chair showing the lattice base and quality stitching on the leather seams. There’s a fabric detail to prevent the back pillow from slipping down. The bottom of the seat cushion is fabric likely to use less leather and keep the prices low. This chair exceeded my expectations on quality, I’m very excited to spend winter evens curled up in this chair reading a book.
