Over the Christmas holidays I discovered the World’s Largest Mailbox. So, naturally I decided to mail a letter!

Last night was one of the most surreal nights ever. There was a crazy thunderstorm right along with the most beautiful sunset and then we had fireworks (which I didn’t get to go watch, it was too rainy for me). But! I did manage to find some timelapse footage on youtube from the entire day. I wish there was more lightning footage, it was all around the whole city and lasted for hours.
I’ve often wondered why this lot sits empty for years in downtown, Vancouver. With perfect grass that’s always groomed, the sun is always shinning on it, yet there’s one problem, it’s locked up for no one to use! This is near Yaletown. Why can’t it be filled with benches and tables for all the people that work in Yaletown to gather and eat lunch. The grass really is greener on the other side.
I finally made a visit to the Richmond Night Market. It definately has an amazing vibe going for it with lots and lots of people, but I don’t think I have the desire to go back. It really makes me wish this city had more culture related places to visit that weren’t way out in Richmond. Below is a little video footage I took while wandering around. I was impressed by this guy at the Bubble Waffle stand, he was working it all by himself and making quite a show.
